A Team

T.C. Roberson High School, Asheville, North Carolina

Tom Smith has big plans for his team this year. Packed with potential, TC Roberson plans to out hustle and out play their opponents all season.

So far, Cameron Maybin and Wesley Williams are driving forces on the team, leading to a 10-0 record. They start off the line-up as the one and two hole hitters. Cameron is batting .759 with 7 home runs and 14 stolen bases and is a top prospect for the major league draft. Wesley is batting .586 with 3 home runs and 19 RBIs and is a University of Virginia signee.

On the hill are Josh Thrillkill, a junior and Seth Laughter, a sophomore, who combined have a 4-0 record and have both thrown no-hitters. Thrillkill is topping out at 93 mph and is a devastating force to face at the plate.

Another worthy player is Justin Jackson, whose father played in the majors. Justin is the starting shortstop and is batting .455 with 3 home runs. He is an outstanding player who adds to the line up and is great in the field.

Coach Smith is optimistic, Our goal this year is to have the most hustling team in the state, also to win the championship. We are going to give our all, and hopefully give it a good go. TC Roberson is off to a great start. They may have the formula for success. A lot of talent and a little chemistry could prove Coach Smith's prediction for a championship victory.
